Project SNOW: Strengthening Numerical Skills for Student Success

Our school continues to strive for excellence in education, and last school year, we proudly won the Continuous Improvement Program Award for our groundbreaking initiative, Project SNOW (Strengthening Numerical Operations of Whole Numbers). This program was designed to enhance our students’ skills in solving mathematical problems, ensuring a stronger foundation in numeracy.

At the heart of Project SNOW is Master Teacher II, Mr. Jesus G. De Los Reyes, whose leadership and dedication played a crucial role in the program’s success. Alongside him, Mrs. Janelyn Alfabete and Ms. Melanie Borbe, co-authors of the initiative, worked tirelessly to develop effective strategies that addressed students’ challenges in numerical operations.

Through targeted interventions, interactive learning activities, and engaging teaching methods, the program provided students with the necessary tools to improve their problem-solving abilities. Teachers incorporated real-life applications of math concepts, making learning more relatable and enjoyable. Regular assessments and feedback mechanisms ensured that students were progressing and gaining confidence in their mathematical skills.

The success of Project SNOW is evident in the remarkable improvement in students’ performance in mathematics. With this recognition, our school remains committed to sustaining and expanding this initiative, empowering students with essential math skills for their future.
