ges Journalists Excel at the 2025 Division Schools’ Press Conference

The young journalists of Gotamco Elementary School once again proved their excellence in campus journalism, winning awards at the Division Schools’ Press Conference and Contest 2025. Their hard work and dedication have brought pride to the school, securing spots at the Regional Schools Press Conference.
Rhian Princess Licup showcased her exceptional skills in scientific writing, securing 2nd place in “Pagsulat ng Agham at Teknolohiya-Filipino”, while Kateryna Alethea Acuna also claimed 2nd place in “Science and Technology Writing – English”. Both will proudly represent Pasay City in the upcoming regional competition under the guidance of their coach, Ma. Redelyn S. Paguirigan.
Meanwhile, Cathryn O. Lobaton placed 4th in “Pagkuha ng Larawan” (Photojournalism – Filipino), mentored by Ms. Ivory Cancan, and Marian R. Valera earned 7th place in “Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo ng Balita”, coached by Mr. Joel Keliste.
We also extend our admiration to all the contestants who gave their best in the competition. Their dedication and courage to compete at this level are truly commendable. A heartfelt salute goes to their dedicated coaches, especially to our School Paper Advisers, Ms. Melanie Borbe, Mr. Erwin Climacosa, and to our School Paper Consultant, Mr. Froilan Elizaga, and our supportive School Principal, Lea M. Marcelo, for nurturing young journalists and fostering a culture of excellence.
