Gotamco Elementary School proudly hosted its Boy Scout Day Camp on March 1, 2025, an exciting event filled with learning, adventure, and camaraderie. The day was dedicated to developing essential scouting skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling discipline among the young scouts.

The camp featured five interactive base activities, each designed to equip scouts with fundamental knowledge and practical skills:

✅ Base 1: Boy Scout History – Scouts explored the rich history of the scouting movement, its mission, and its role in shaping responsible citizens worldwide. They learned about the legacy of Lord Baden-Powell and the principles that guide every scout.

✅ Base 2: First Aid and Bandaging – Preparedness is key to scouting, and this station taught basic first aid techniques, including how to properly bandage wounds. Scouts also practiced using their neckerchiefs as emergency bandages, emphasizing resourcefulness in urgent situations.

✅ Base 3: Flag Folding – Respect for the national flag is an integral part of scouting. At this base, participants mastered the correct way to fold and handle the Philippine flag, reinforcing values of patriotism and discipline.

✅ Base 4: Knot Tying – Knots are an essential skill in scouting. Scouts learned to tie various knots used in camping, survival, and rescue operations, improving their dexterity and problem-solving abilities.

✅ Base 5: DRRM and Games – This station combined fun and learning by engaging scouts in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) drills. They participated in practical exercises on disaster preparedness and teamwork-based games that enhanced their physical and mental agility.
