Gotamco Elementary School conducted the Virtual School-Based Teachers’ Day Celebration with the theme: “Gurong Filipino, Katuwang sa Hamon Kasama sa Pagbangon.” It was celebrated last Friday, October 8, 2021, from 8:00 to 10:00 o’clock in the morning via Google Meet App and was spearheaded by the Faculty Club Officers led by Ms. Lorimer C. Sibonga.
The program began with a prayer and nationalistic song led by the master of ceremony Ms. Kareena Victoria S. Vitto. Mr. Jesus G. Delos Reyes in his heartwarming opening remarks, followed by the inspiring message from the supportive School Principal, Ms. Laarni R. Alejandro as she acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the teachers in Gotamco in sharing their wisdom, mold young minds to become responsible, law-abiding, God-fearing and value laden. Also, she recognized the teachers’ tireless efforts who are boldly facing and overcoming the uncertainties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adding excitement to the program, the newly hired teachers, Mr. Emman Jay Gabor and Ms. Angelica D. Guyagon rendered their song intermission number. An audio-visual presentation dedicated to teachers was shown during the program, which made the event meaningful.
Teachers participated actively in the online games facilitated by Ms. Melanie Borbe, Mr. Jul Lester Castillo and Ms. Jan Marnelle Operiano.
Plaques and Certificate of Recognition were also given to honor Service Awardees and Retirees.
The highlight of the event that made everyone felt excited was the drawing of the minor and major raffle prizes. Tokens like Fashion Notebooks were given and loot bags containing COVID Essentials and hygiene Kits as a gift of love to all teachers from the Rotary Club of Dasmarinas.
