From September 6 to 17, 2021, Gotamco Elementary School enjoned itself in the Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) for School Year 2021- 2022 with the Theme: Bayanihan Para sa Ligtas na Balik Eskwela. The OBE is a DepEd annual initiative to engage agencies, organizations, and other stakeholders in preparation for the opening of the SY 2021-2022. 

For the Kick -Off Ceremony, the OBE was a joint division-wide activity enjoined by all schools across the Division of Pasay City, both elementary, secondary and special schools conducted simultaneously last September 10, 2021 through a virtual ceremony led by the school’ division superintendent and other SDO officials.

The school’s OBE committee was chaired by Mrs. Laarni R. Alajandro, Principal of Gotamco Elementary School. Other members of the committee include Ms. Melanie B. Borbe, the School Information Coordinator, as a Vice-Chair; and the members are Mrs. Amalia M. Batula; Mrs. Geraldine E. Milo; Mrs. Joan M. Villaranda; Mrs. Editha O. Delos Reyes; Mrs. Lorimer C. Sibonga; Ms. Ma. Isabel D. Estuista; Mrs. Vilma A. Nabua; Mr. Jul Lester C. Castillo, in charge of the Alternative Learning System; and Ms. Aisha B. Racman, in charge of ALIVE Learners enrolment.

During the OBE Committee’s virtual conference on September 3, 2021, Mrs. Alejandro disseminated and highlighted the roles and responsibilities of each member to ensure that each one would be able to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. The committee also determined what knowledge and skills required to reach the outcome.

The school ensures that all learners have been properly enrolled and orientations were conducted school-wide and other orientations are done per grade level and by the advisers as regard to the enrolment procedures, learning platforms, distribution of modules and also the implementation of the school’s Basic Learning Continuity Plan Process of Operationalization. All the queries, issues, and concerns were addressed promptly. There were no major issues and concerns from the parents, guardians, and learners since they were properly assisted during the whole duration of the said activity.

Agencies, private organizations and clubs, local government unit, barangay officials, alumni, and private individuals extended their help and participated in the School Oplan Balik Eskwela.

Through the collaborative efforts of the School OBE Committee and other school personnel, the opening of classes was smooth and well-coordinated.
