Celebrates a Year of Excellence: 2024 Annual Accomplishment Report
The year 2024 was a remarkable one for Gotamco Elementary School, filled with achievements, milestones, and transformative initiatives that strengthened our commitment to quality education and holistic student development. Through the unwavering dedication of our teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders, we successfully navigated challenges and emerged stronger than ever.
One of our proudest moments was winning the Schools’ Best Practice Award for our innovative initiative, Project E.A.K. (Enroll Angat Ko), which significantly boosted school enrollment. Additionally, our commitment to numeracy skills development was recognized through Project SNOW (Strengthening Numerical Operations of Whole Numbers), which earned us the Continuous Improvement Program Award under the leadership of Master Teacher 2, Mr. Jesus G. De Los Reyes, alongside co-authors Mrs. Janelyn Alfabete and Ms. Melanie Borbe.
Mr. Froilan Elizaga, our dedicated teacher and author of the storybooks won the Gawad Teodora Award 2024 held in Palawan, Philippines. This prestigious national recognition serves as a testament to our school’s commitment to academic and literary excellence.
Our canteen management was also hailed as one of the best, receiving the Best Practice Award in School Canteen Management under the Rediscover Learning Program, spearheaded by Master Teacher 1, Mrs. Amalia Batula, with support from School Principal Mrs. Lea Marcelo and SPTA President Mr. Ver Maglines.
In the field of performing arts, our Drum and Lyre Team showcased their talent and discipline, securing the Silver Medal (2nd place) in the 161st Anniversary Celebration of Pasay City Drum and Lyre Competition 2024, where we competed against all schools in Pasay City.
Our commitment to leadership and character-building was further strengthened through the successful conduct of the Scout Investiture Ceremony on November 26, 2024, where new Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts pledged to uphold the values of honor, service, and discipline.
GES also shined in the field of sports, earning multiple medals across various competitions:
🏀 Bronze Medalists: Basketball, Taekwondo (Boys and Girls), Gymnastics
🎾 Silver Medalist: Lawn Tennis
🥇 Gold Medalists (NCRQ): Softball, Chess
These victories highlight the determination, discipline, and teamwork of our student-athletes, proving that our school is a powerhouse in academics and sports. We commend our young athletes and coaches for their dedication and perseverance in bringing honor to our school.
As we look back on these achievements, we express our deepest gratitude to the teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders who played a vital role in making 2024 a year of excellence and growth. These milestones inspire us to continue striving for greatness and embrace innovation and collaboration as we progress.
